Spooktress 2025 Art Challenge

Ooo... but why?

As someone who loves horror games, I realized that because of my age at the time, I missed out on a lot of the classics that people are super fond of. The early resident evils, silent hills, fatal frames etc. are all games that I was too young for at the time. Recently, I've made it my mission to start playing these classics! This is where the idea for this art challenge came from. As I started playing more of these games, I thought it could make for a fun October art challenge! Most of these heroines are from classic games, but I just had to add the new protag from Silent Hill f.

What?

This challenge is about drawing female horror protagonists every three-ish days with some rests here and there. I wanted this challenge to be somewhat relaxed and a way for me/others to research/play these games in a fun challenge while making some cool art. I'm sure I missed out on some of our classic heroines, so if you have any suggestions for future candidates for this challenge definitely leave a comment! I just picked some ladies I thought could be fun to draw. I also saved the best for last, because Madness Returns is my favorite game heheh. I also tried to add a pretty decent buffer to the end as a nice little wind down. You can gather together all of your art to showcase, catch up on characters you didn't finish, or bask in the glory of finishing them all and sip a cozy fall drink.

Yay! But how?

• Just post your art with the tag spooktress-2025 and add the prompt to your portal submissions
• I'll be trying to promote them on my instagram, bluesky, etc.! Tag me @kindlsticks so I can see!
• I'll also post my favorites to Art Front Page Suggestion Thread

Enjoy!!
